I am so encouraged that conservatives have come together to form a winning team under the new Conservative Party of Canada. I believe that our new Party combines the very best of the traditions and strengths of each of the PC and Canadian Alliance Parties. As you know, I have worked hard over the last several years to bring our conservative family back together.

 
Where he will be
I would consider it a great service to my country to be able to return her to the status of private citizen. I also believe that it would be a great honour to serve the people of Mississauga and Canada in Parliament.
